One Place Birmingham
One Place Metro Alabama Family Justice Center is Birmingham’s hub for coordinated domestic and sexual violence services. Bringing together law enforcement, legal advocates, healthcare providers, and community partners under one roof, One Place offers survivors a safe, confidential path to support. They approached us with a need to refresh their website and communications to make it easier for survivors to find help quickly, highlight their community impact, and provide clear pathways for donors and partners to get involved.
When One Place partnered with us, their priority was to ensure the new website would be trauma-informed, user-friendly, and effective in reaching multiple audiences; survivors, partners, professionals, and donors. We developed a website centered on safety features like a sticky Quick Exit bar, simplified Get Help forms, and clear after-hours resources. We also built in sections to highlight their impact, showcase programs like Camp HOPE, and expand donor engagement with improved giving options. The result was a structured, intentional site plan that reflects One Place’s mission: making safety, healing, and justice accessible to every survivor while strengthening community partnerships and support.
